After getting the go-ahead from my neurologist, I took the opportunity to try scuba diving with PADI in Playa Potrero, Costa Rica. Unable to do the standard forms of exercise, I dared to dream this might be something I would be able to do despite my brain injury.  I sat down with Kristin Vallette-Wirth to talk about the mental health benefits of scuba diving and what my experience brought up for me.  Kristin is the Chief Brand and Membership Officer for PADI and has experience with using diving as a form of healing both physically and mentally helping her husband heal from a life-changing accident.
