Professor Damian Hughes is an international speaker and best-selling author. His innovative approach has been praised by Sir Richard Branson, Muhammed Ali, Tiger Woods and Sir Alex Ferguson. He combines his practical and academic background within sport, organisational development and change psychology, to help organisations and teams to create a high performing culture. I met Damian after he was a guest speaker at an England rugby league meeting. What I found intriguing was how Damian mapped out the different types of human brain processes. Listening to this podcast, you can understand why we do what we do, and what part of the brain it is which dictates that. The big statement to come from this chat was ‘thinking about thinking’. I think once you can become aware of many of our innate and learnt reactions, you are in a powerful position to change your life, working environment and personal relationships. Damian is author of seven best-selling books including 'Liquid Thinking' and 'The Five STEPS to a winning mind-set'. He is currently serving as a member of the Scotland rugby union team and was appointed as Professor of Organisational Psychology and Change for Manchester Metropolitan University in September 2010.
