Professor Steve Peters is a Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in the functioning of the human mind.
He has clients across a wide range of disciplines from health and education to business and elite sport, including NHS organisations, the emergency services, schools and universities, national and Olympic teams, British Cycling, GB Taekwondo, England Rugby, England Football, Liverpool Football Club, British Swimming, UK Track and Field, Sky ProCycling, Masters Golf and World Snooker.
In all areas, he helps people to understand how the mind works, gain insight into their own unique mind and situation, and then develop skills to optimise individual performance and quality of life.
He is also the author of the bestselling personal development book ‘The Chimp Paradox’ which has sold nearly 1 million copies since it was first published in 2012.
In this episode, we explored the ‘inner chimp’ and what that is, the reason we think the way we do, how to understand your emotions and thoughts, how to avoid self-sabotage, and what makes ‘a man’.
We thoroughly enjoyed this episode and hope you do too!
